Children’s Room | Fix This Mess!
Do your kids rooms are so messy to find something in them appears impossible task? So, pay attention to these strategies that will restore some order to the spaces of their children.
Firstly, do your children need everything in their rooms? Are you collecting clothes and shoes they are small toys or are they already obsolete? Do not have mercy: give them to someone else, donate to charity shop or discard. It makes no sense to bring order to things that are already out of use.
If the room of one of their children in particular is in a catastrophic state (drawers full of garbage, candy wrappers, broken toys, pens uncapped, etc..) Experiment with the technique of “mined”: Take the crate, box or bag and pour the contents onto sheets of newspaper. All that does not serve should be on the newspaper. Then wrap it and put it directly into the trash basket.
Are there usually a laundry room on their children? Did they refuse to take their dirty clothes to the laundry basket? You can buy a basket of different colors for each of them and hit a picture of their favorite character. So encourage them to take their dirty clothes where they belong.
Attach hooks or hooks behind the door of the nursery. They should hang their school uniforms well ordered, as I believe that getting bent and put them in a drawer until the next day would be a victory beyond all our expectations. Thus, when you get home in the evening, simply hang up the uniform on the hooks and forget about them until the following day.
Now, one of the best solutions for intelligent organization is, cheap and effective. Buy a stackable plastic boxes of different colors, suitable for household things. You can set a color code if you want, for example blue for books, toys, red, yellow for games and more. Not only this: they can also be used for shoes or clothes from other stations not in use. If you can install some shelves attached, these boxes will look very modern, lined up against the wall instead of stacked on each other.
The books will be much more orderly if they are aligned in order of size or color code. A mess of books accumulated in an old library does not give the idea of a fourth order. The same goes for the videos or CDs. Order them colored backs, not only will curious: also be easier to find.
If rooms are in a state such that they need more drastic measures, try a “collection of two minutes,” in which their children should collect as much trash as possible in that period of time and put in order. This is an effective strategy, especially with younger children, because it is fun. Let them free after two minutes if at least have tried. You can do the rest as a favor.
If one room is particularly small children, raise the bed on stilts. This gives you extra room below. It does not take a genius to adjust a DIY legs. If you can afford one of those beds with lockers / desks / drawers underneath can be attached to a bedroom solution too crowded.
You can store small toys such as Barbies, mini bricks, etc.., In mesh bags hanging on the walls. They are simple to make. They are made with oblong piece of material, folded in half and sewn along the edges and bottom to top, which has a cuff which is placed inside a piece of rope sticking out to form handles. The bag is closed by pulling the rope.
Finally, to encourage good habits, allow children to assist in the chores and always reward them for a job well done. If your children have at least tried to keep things in order, you must show them that you’ve noticed, rewarding them in some way and encouraging them to repeat the experience the next time.
